Hello and welcome to my blog page so this is my first blog on medium and I chose the topic “ This is what I learned as being a foster parent” because as being a foster parent many of you guys face different problems. So here being a foster parent I would love to share my experience that what things I learned during fostering period.

I started fostering pups and dogs when I was 18 years old. During this period I faced many ups and downs but trust me this period is the best period of my life because during this period I got an opportunity to treat pups the way they were never treated on streets.

But yes is is also one of the my favourite things to do”

My first foster dog’s name was Fred he was a sweet little muchkin but also very notorious. While fostering him I learned how to handle a pup who is just three months old. After Fred I got an opportunity to foster Scooby we found her when one of her back leg was fully damaged due to accident. She was a perfect example of “ Chota packet bada dhamaka”. She was the most sincere girl while she was not irritated but once she gets irritated no one is more dangerous than her. She taught me how to do bandages and small surgeries at home.

After Scooby I got an opportunity to foster Sia she was rescued from highway while she and her sister were crossing the road but unfortunately her sister met with an accident and died but Sia was rescued and I got an opportunity to foster her. Sia taught me how to make a scared pup comfortable. I fostered Sia for about one and a half month and after that she was happily settled at our shelter. Fostering her was one of my best experience. After Sia I got and opportunity to foster Molly she met with an accident where her front hands had fracture and while fostering her I learned how to take care of special pups. Molly was the one who taught me how to accept the situations and live your life at your best.

After Molly I am currently fostering Ollie. Ollie was one of the most unexpected foster pups. The owners of Ollie are living on a rented house where the owner declined to keep her and they called me to foster Ollie. As their own house is under renovation so I accepted the foster of Ollie. When they bought Ollie to my place First Ollie was a lot scared of my dogs but now she has accepted them and now she is living with them very happily but yes she also misses her owners as she sits in the balcony for hours and hours and look down for them. As I believe these are the purest souls who cannot speak but they can express their feeling by their behaviour and specially their eyes says it all.

“ It’s not necessary that you always get success while fostering ,

But it is the part in which you have to give your 100%”
